About the company

Dahua Technology makes surveillance cameras, video recorders and video-centred AIoT systems for cities and businesses. Fu Liquan founded it in 2001 with former colleagues from a state-owned electronics factory; it is based in Binjiang District and has been listed in Shenzhen since 2008. In 2025 revenue rose 1.7 per cent to 32.74 billion yuan and net profit rose 32.8 per cent to 3.86 billion yuan. According to Wikipedia, in 2021 it was the world’s second-largest maker of video-surveillance equipment by revenue, after Hikvision.

Belgium and Europe

On 27 May 2025 a 50-member delegation from the Province of West Flanders, led by Governor Carl Decaluwe, visited Dahua in Hangzhou, along with Unitree Robotics and PingPong. The visit marked 25 years of friendship between West Flanders and Zhejiang.
