Betta Pharmaceuticals develops and sells cancer drugs, led by icotinib (Conmana), a targeted therapy for lung cancer. It was founded in Hangzhou in January 2003 by a team of returnee scientists including Ding Lieming and Wang Yinxiang, and has its headquarters in the Yuhang Economic and Technological Development Zone. Icotinib, approved in China in June 2011, is described as the country’s first domestically developed targeted anti-cancer drug. Betta has been listed on Shenzhen’s ChiNext board since November 2016.
