About the company
AI glasses with a display in the lens
Misa Zhu sold his first company to Alibaba in 2010 and started Rokid in 2014. After smart speakers and industrial AR helmets came the Rokid Glasses at the end of 2024: 49 grams, with AI and a display in both lenses for subtitles, translation and navigation. Users choose their own AI: ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek or Qwen.
Rokid makes AI and AR glasses, such as Rokid Glasses and Rokid Max, along with its own YodaOS operating system. It was founded in Hangzhou in July 2014 and started with voice-controlled AI devices, launching its first AR glasses in 2018. It has offices in Dream Town in Yuhang and in the Xixi Wetland art village in Xihu. According to the company, a 2025 Kickstarter campaign raised more than 3.6 million dollars from over 5,000 backers.
On sale in Germany since April 2026, then in France and the Benelux. In Belgium, Coolblue sells the Rokid Glasses.
