Songcheng Performance runs theme parks built around large live shows, such as Songcheng in Hangzhou with its Song-dynasty show ‘Songcheng Qiangu Qing’. Founded in 1994, it is based on Zhijiang Road in Xihu District, where the Songcheng park opened in May 1996; the show premiered in March 1997. In 2025 revenue fell 6.6 per cent to 2.26 billion yuan and net profit fell 22 per cent to 818 million yuan. Versions of the show run in parks in Xi’an, Sanya, Lijiang, Guilin and Zhangjiajie, among others, and the company also manages a venue in Thailand.
