Tigermed runs clinical trials and related laboratory and data services for developers of drugs and medical devices as a contract research organisation (CRO). It was founded in Hangzhou in 2004 by Ye Xiaoping and Cao Xiaochun, and its global headquarters is in Binjiang District, where a new headquarters building opened in 2025. In 2026 the company reports more than 11,900 employees and over 180 offices and sites in 24 countries. It has been listed in Shenzhen since 2012 and in Hong Kong since 2020.

Tigermed’s European offices include Tigermed Netherlands B.V. in Amsterdam, alongside sites in London, Zug, Timișoara and Zagreb.
