About the company
Robot dogs and humanoids, from student project to stock market
Wang Xingxing built his first robot dog as a master’s student and started Unitree in 2016 in a small 50 m² office in Hangzhou. The company makes almost all its parts itself, which keeps the price low. At the 2025 Spring Festival Gala its robots danced for an audience of millions; in August 2026 Unitree became the first humanoid robot company to be listed on the Chinese mainland.
Unitree Robotics designs and builds quadruped and humanoid robots such as the Go2, G1 and H1. Wang Xingxing founded it in August 2016, starting in a 50 m² office in Binjiang District. In 2025 revenue grew from 392.8 million to 1.70 billion yuan, with net profit of 278 million yuan, and it shipped more than 5,500 humanoid robots. In August 2026 Unitree listed on Shanghai’s STAR Market.
More than 40% of revenue comes from abroad, with Europe as an important market. In May 2025 a delegation from the province of West Flanders visited Unitree in Hangzhou.
